NATA District 1 Safe Sports School Grant Program – Apply Now!

The goal of the program is to increase the number of NATA 1st Team and 2nd Team Safe Sports School Awards presented to secondary schools in District One.

To date, approximately 800 schools have been recognized as Safe Sports Schools by the NATA.  Twenty-eight of these schools are within District One.  The District 1 Executive Council has approved funding to provide grants to 18 D1 schools. The grant will cover the $150 application fee for the Safe Sports School Award.  Each state in the District (ME, VT, NH, MA, RI, CT) will be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) grants.  Funding preference will be given to schools meeting all criteria for 1st team selection; however, schools meeting 2nd team criteria are encouraged to apply. The grant application period is open from July 15, 2016 to March 15, 2017.

Contact Denise Alosa, D1 Secondary School Committee Chair or Maine President Chris Rizzo with questions.
